The Tiruchi Railway Division has announced that the Mayiladuthurai-Sengottai-Mayiladuthurai Express (16847/16848) will stop for one minute at Alakkudi station on an experimental basis for three months from February 10. The Alakkudi station falls in the Thanjavur-Tiruchi broadgauge section.
The train will arrive Alakkudi station at 1.26 p.m. and leave at 1.27 p.m. The Sengottai – Mayiladuthurai Express will arrive at Alakkudi at 2.06 p.m. and leave at 2.07 pm, according to a press release on Friday.
