Vicky Kaushal is preparing for his next release, the period drama Chhaava. The film, also starring Rashmika Mandanna, will be released on February 14. While the actor has been busy with promotions, he shared a few stills from their event in Aurangabad district, also known as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Chhaava has created a lot of buzz among Vicky and Rashmika’s fans, and this new picture has just fueled the excitement.

Vicky Kaushal stunned his fans with an ethnic look. He was seen in a maroon kurta with a pair of white trousers. He maintained his clean-shaven look and wore black tinted glasses. Fans could not stop gushing over his sleek and sophisticated look. A person praised him, saying, “Handsome as Always,” while many others dropped heart emojis.

Chhava is a historical drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Vicky Kaushal will play Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Maratha empire’s founder. The film also has Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta in prominent roles. Talking to Pinkvilla, the director Laxman Utekar praised Vicky’s performance, stating, “There were 1500 people on our sets. Even when there was some chaos, as Raaze (Vicky) got out of his vanity, it felt like a lion was coming. When we saw him in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s outfit, holding that sword, everyone stood to attention. No one dared to say anything to him since he was Raaze to us and still is. When he got out of his vanity, the entire team would go quiet. That is his aura.”

The trailer for Chhava sets the scenario for a fierce battle between the Marathas and the Mughals. As the Marathas work to achieve Swaraj, a vision of freedom and safety for all, the Mughal empire remains steadfast, pledging to destroy any uprising against its rule. The discourse is fraught with suspense, warning of the silent but lethal pursuit that awaits those who defy the empire. Chhava marks the second collaboration between Laxman Utekar and Vicky Kaushal following the comedy-romance hit Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (2023).
