Arjun Kapoor is set to return to the big screen with Mere Husband Ki Biwi, directed by Mudassar Aziz. The actor has officially kicked off promotions for the film alongside co-stars Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh. For the promotional event, the Ek Villain Returns actor kept it effortlessly stylish in a brown denim jacket layered over a white T-shirt, paired with black casual pants. He accessorised minimally, opting for a silver chain with a glittery pendant and stud earrings.
Completing the look, he sported sleek grey Chelsea boots, adding an extra touch of sophistication to his ensemble.
A few days ago, Arjun Kapoor shared an emotional tribute to his late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor. Expressing how much he misses her every day, the actor said, “Happy birthday, Maa… I miss you all the time, maybe now more than ever. Hope you are proud of Ansh & me for trying to be the best version of ourselves after everything you taught us. We try & represent you the best we can.”
Mona Shourie Kapoor passed away on March 25, 2012, due to multiple organ failure, just days before Arjun’s Bollywood debut with Ishaqzaade. Reflecting on her loss, he added, “I’ve run out of pictures and words… I hate that I can’t say anything to you anymore, but one day, we will meet again, hug again, speak again. Till then, keep smiling and watching over us. Love you to infinity & beyond!”
Meanwhile, Mere Husband Ki Biwi is a romantic comedy starring Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh, the film is set to hit theatres on February 21.
