Shahid Kapoor is currently getting an overwhelming response for his recently released film Deva. The actor’s performance is getting love from fans. And today he has treated his fans with another set of sunkissed photos. In no time it went viral and fans were also reacting to it. They called him handsome.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Shahid Kapoor shared photos and wished everyone ‘Happy Sunday’. In the photos, the actor was seen posing for the camera. One of the fans wrote, “We failed as an audience to witness such masterpiece.” Another wrote, “Handsome Kapoor.” Many dropped hearts emojis.

The film, starring Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde, saw a solid performance on its first Saturday, earning approximately Rs 11.37 crore, as reported by Sacnilk. The same source reported that the movie pulled in Rs 5.5 crore on its opening day and another Rs 5.87 crore on its first Saturday, bringing the total to Rs 11.37 crore. The film recorded an occupancy of 5.84% in the morning, 11.28% in the afternoon, and 14.20% during the evening shows on Saturday.
With the release of Sky Force adding to the competition, it’s yet to be seen how Deva fares over the weekend. Zee Studios, the film’s producer, announced on Saturday that the action drama had grossed Rs 10.31 crore on its opening day, with Rs 6.82 crore gross from India and Rs 3.49 crore gross from international markets. The trade website, however, reported Rs 6.60 crore in India and Rs 10.10 crore worldwide.
The plot of Deva revolves around ACP Dev Ambre (Shahid Kapoor), a reckless cop and womaniser who loses his memory while investigating the murder of his best friend. The film is an adaptation of Rosshan’s 2013 Malayalam film Mumbai Police, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, though the script was altered, particularly the twist in the climax. Pooja Hegde plays the role of Dev’s girlfriend, a journalist named Divya Sathaye.
News18 Showsha gave the film 3.5 stars. An excerpt from the review read, “Deva finds its voice in its second half, evolving from a standard action thriller into a gripping, character-driven mystery. It may not be without its flaws, but its unpredictability, strong performances, and polished execution make it a compelling watch. If you’re willing to ride out the familiar beats of the first half, the latter rewards you with intrigue, intensity, and a noir-infused take on the Bollywood action genre.”
