Shilpa Shirodkar got candid about her Bigg Boss 18 journey and why she nominated Karan Veer.

Shilpa Shirodkar received a lot of backlash when she nominated Karan Veer Mehra for eviction in the Bigg Boss 18 house. Shilpa and Karan Veer share a strong bond and the actress’ decision shocked the show’s fans. In a recent chat with Siddharth Kannan, Shilpa opened up about her decision and said she regrets her actions.
Shilpa Shirodkar said, “What happened was yeh jo nomination… it is the only thing I regret and I’d like to change in the house – my nominating Karan. I didn’t realise the intensity of it. Secondly, yeh jo task hua tha nomination ka, yeh task hua tha soon after my contendorship for Time God. Uss time pe Rajat (Dalal) had become Time God aur mujhe laga tha…”
She continued, “I thought I was playing the game. Foolish game maine khela. Then I thought about it and I nominated Karan because I thought ki jin ke haath main signature nahi hai unko main nominate karti hoon taaki poora ghar nomination main aa jaaye. Yeh meri bewakoofi thi aur realise nahi hua ki main mere dost ko beghar karne ke liye choose kar rahi hoon.”
“Toh meri sabse badi galati thi Karan ko nominate karna. Also, main hamesha believe karti hoon ki jo log aapke liye cheezein karte hain, you should always be grateful for them. Unfortunately, at that time, the five people who I would have nominated on a regular basis had helped me during the task. Toh main unko nahi kar paayi nominate,” Shilpa mentioned.
Veteran actress Shilpa Shirodkar carved a niche for herself in the Indian film industry after making her big screen debut in Ramesh Sippy’s Bhrashtachar (1989) alongside Mithun Chakraborty and Rekha. The actress then appeared in several big films like Aankhien, Khuda Gawah, Kishan Kanhaiya, Hum and Bewafa Sanam. She is getting a lot of love after Bigg Boss 18.
