Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat has reacted to the shocking burglary attempt and attack on Saif Ali Khan, revealing that he reached out to Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan via text after the incident.

Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat has weighed in on the shocking attack on Saif Ali Khan, revealing that while he didn’t speak to Saif or Kareena Kapoor Khan directly, he did reach out to them via text after the incident.
In a recent interview with ANI, Jaideep shared his concern over the violent intrusion at Saif’s Bandra residence, which took place during a burglary attempt. “Direct baat nahi hui, but maine message kiya tha unko (I didn’t speak to them directly, but I sent them a message),” he stated.
Jaideep also urged the media and paparazzi to respect Saif and Kareena’s privacy as they recover from the traumatic event. Expressing discomfort over the aggressive media coverage, he recalled a video of a reporter dangerously chasing Saif’s car to capture visuals. “Ajeeb lagta hai dekhkar (It feels strange). Everyone needs to think before acting,” he added.
Jaideep and Kareena Kapoor recently worked together in Netflix’s thriller Jaane Jaan, further strengthening their professional bond.
Following the terrifying attack, Saif and Kareena have reportedly taken extra precautions at their residence. Videos and photos suggest that the couple has added additional fencing to their balcony, ensuring no unauthorized access. They have also requested paparazzi to avoid clicking pictures of their children, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir (Jeh) Ali Khan.
The incident occurred when an intruder, later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, entered Saif’s home with the intent to commit theft. A violent altercation ensued, during which Saif sustained stab wounds to his thoracic spine and other body parts. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital for emergency treatment.
Last week, after undergoing surgery, Saif was discharged and returned home, where he briefly greeted the media.
Kareena Kapoor later issued a strongly worded statement, highlighting the intense media scrutiny surrounding their family, “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from relentless speculation and coverage,” her statement read.
Emphasizing the impact of constant attention on their safety, she further added, “While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny is overwhelming and poses a significant risk. We request that you respect our boundaries and give us space to heal.”
