The Hindu’s Surf & Dive released in Odisha

The Hindu’s latest edition, Surf & Dive in Odisha which gives readers in-depth coverage across a range of issues through long-form reads was unveiled by Odisha’s School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond on Wednesday (January 29, 2025)

The ‘Surf & Dive’ will be published twice a month — 24 books planned each year — each book invites you to ‘surf’ through a range of significant topics and ‘dive’ deep into subjects that matter, says The Hindu Group.

According to the publisher, the idea behind ‘Surf & Dive’ was that in a world abuzz with digital distractions, there is a growing hunger for thoughtful analysis and trusted perspectives.

“Readers are seeking quality content that informs, inspires and empowers. And at a time when information overload can overwhelm, Surf & Dive presents meticulously curated long-form reads that offer clarity, context and a 360-degree perspective on the world around you,” it said.

Surf & Dive, has varied subjects like political, social and economic developments in India and the rest of the world, alongside science, technology and medicine, art and culture as well as sports. The writers are subject experts who provide a deep dive into issues, cutting through the clutter with clarity of thought, in way that can occupy the mind spaces of readers.

Mr. Gond was briefed by SDT Rao, General Manager of The Hindu Group about The Hindu’s school products, The Hindu in School Weekender and Young World weekly magazines specially curated for the children of various age groups.

“Young World is a complete magazine for primary students, released every Friday, with puzzles, General Knowledge articles and short stories. The Hindu-in-School Weekender is a 32-page tabloid which brings fun back into learning through words, work sheets, brainteasers, colourful pictures, comic strips, current affairs, the ‘how’s’ and ‘whys’ of scientific discovery, and the lesser-known facts of history and geography that go beyond academics, every issue is carefully curated and attractively packaged,” said Mr. Rao. D. Durga Malleswara Rao of The Hindu was present on the occasion.
