Sanjay Dutt Expesses Gratitude To Advocate Majeed Memon On Launch Of His Book ‘The Memoirs’

Senior advocate and former Member of Parliament, Majeed Memon, recently unveiled his autobiography, My Memoirs. It offers a comprehensive glimpse into his illustrious legal career spanning over five decades. The book delves into some of the most pivotal and controversial cases in India’s judicial history, including the 1993 Bombay bombings trial involving actor Sanjay Dutt. Memon played a crucial role in securing bail for the actor during the trial. Following the book’s release, Dutt expressed heartfelt gratitude to Memon for his unwavering support during that challenging time.

Expressing his gratitude at the launch, Sanjay Dutt said, “Majeed Bhai, congratulations on completing 50 years in the practice of law. All I can say is that you are one of the greatest lawyers and one of the finest human beings I’ve had the privilege to know. You truly helped us all during those difficult times, and I will never forget the support and kindness you showered on me, and not just me, but everyone in the courtroom. Congratulations once again, Sir, and I look forward to seeing you soon,” quoted by IANS.

Sanjay Dutt was detained under the TADA and the Arms Act in April 1993, and he was later convicted of violating the Arms Act by possessing illegal firearms obtained from other accused in the 1993 Bombay bombings.

Renowned senior advocate Majeed Memon has handled numerous complex and controversial cases throughout his illustrious legal career, including the high-profile Sanjay Dutt case and the Gulshan Kumar murder case.

On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt was last seen in the Telugu film Double iSmart, portraying a negative role under Puri Jaggannadh’s direction. The film starred Ram Pothineni and Kavya Thapar in key roles. Up next, Dutt is set to appear in the Punjabi film Sheran Di Kaum Punjabi alongside Gippy Grewal, with the release date yet to be announced.

His packed lineup also includes the Kannada film KD-The Devil featuring Vijay Sethupathi, the comedy ensemble Housefull 5 with Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, and others, as well as Baaghi 4, where he will join Tiger Shroff. Dutt’s upcoming projects showcase his enduring star power across diverse industries and genres.
