Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that the BRS leaders were suffering from ‘attention seeking disorder’ and wanted the entire attention to be on them instead of the State.

Launching a scathing attack on the BRS leaders for trying to create apprehensions among the minds of investors and hitting investors’ confidence, he said the companies however repelled these conspiracies expressing confidence in the State government and its proactive policies.

Asked about the BRS’ criticism of the numbers projected by the government, he said those in doubt about the willingness expressed by the global majors could cross-check the details with the industries themselves. He said Chief Ministers from other States too attended the WEF summit explaining their policies, but Telangana could secure the majority of investments because of its proactive policies.

Of the more than ₹1.8 lakh crore investment proposals, Amazon alone assured to invest ₹60,000 crore and Sun Petrochemicals another ₹45,000 crore. The government had decided to share the information pertaining to the assurances received from major industries to give no scope for doubts in this regard. “White paper is issued when some facts are hidden. But we have been communicating the developments as and when they take place,” he said responding to the BRS demand for release of white paper on investments.

The Chief Minister said that a major achievement of the State government was the agreement it entered into with the Institute of Technical Education of Singapore. The agreement facilitates the exchange of students of Singapore and those studying in the skill development university of Telangana enabling global exposure to our students.
