Kokrajhar, Jan 28: The Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) in Assam has requested its inclusion under Article 280 of the Indian Constitution to secure additional financial resources for the development of remote and underdeveloped districts, which have faced the challenges of insurgency for decades.
Pramod Boro, Chief Executive Member of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), emphasized the need for sustained peace and progress in the region while marking the fifth anniversary of the Bodo Peace Accord, signed on January 27, 2020.
