Khushi Kapoor, daughter of late legendary actor Sridevi, is addressing her decision to undergo cosmetic enhancements, including a nose job and lip fillers. The Archies star recently spoke about the topic in a promo for an upcoming episode of Curly Tales, which was released on Instagram on Monday.
In the promo, Khushi opens up about her childhood, admitting she was an “attention seeker” who enjoyed being in the spotlight. When asked about her decision to speak openly about cosmetic procedures, Khushi responded, “I don’t think it’s such a big deal. I see like the term plastic… Plastic is like people think it’s the biggest insult you can give someone.”
Khushi further reflected on her journey in the film industry, saying, “Before I even stepped into the industry, people had a preconceived notion of what I’m like and who I am. Most of it was negative.”
The discussion emerged from an Instagram interaction in August last year, when Khushi responded to comments on an old video of herself attending an event with her mother, Sridevi. The clip, which resurfaced before the premiere of The Archies, featured Khushi as a child. A social media user commented, “Khushi looks so similar to how she used to look. Like it genuinely just looks like she lost weight.” Another user added, “She was 12 here, she also just got braces, she got lip fillers and that was that.”
In response, Khushi acknowledged the speculation, replying, “@archivekhushii lip filler and (nose emoji) hahaha,” confirming the procedures in a lighthearted manner.
Khushi Kapoor, following in the footsteps of her mother Sridevi and sister Janhvi Kapoor, made her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, an adaptation of the beloved comic series. She portrayed Betty Cooper in the 2023 film. Looking ahead, Khushi is set to star opposite Junaid Khan in her next project, Loveyapa.
