The Rachakonda police on Sunday picked up from Chennai a doctor suspected to be involved in Saroornagar kidney racket. He has been identified as Rajashekhar. A special police team had been camping in Chennai for the past few days, looking for him as his name had cropped up in the confessions of the other accused arrested in the case. The officers were verifying reports that he also conducted kidney transplants at Janani Hospital of Hyderabad. The investigators were checking inputs that the same doctor had earlier been arrested in Andhra Pradesh in a criminal case. They are checking if his name figured in any kidney racket case there.
