Students build solar-powered hybrid vehicle in Vizianagaram

Students from Avanthi’s St. Theressa Institute of Engineering and Technology successfully assembled a solar-powered hybrid vehicle during a workshop on solar products held in the college premises at Garividi in Vizianagaram district between January 24 and 26.

College principal V. Joshua Jayaprasad on Sunday said that the successful completion of the project proved that students from rural background were second to none when in came to knowledge and talent. After unfurling the national flag as part of the Republic Day celebrations, he presented merit certificates to students who worked on the project. He said that the students spent nearly three months for the completion of the project.

The youngsters will get ample job opportunities in solar-based industries across India as the Union government has been encouraging green energy solutions in India, he added. College vice-principal B.Venkata Ramana, administative officer G. Anil Kumar and others were also present.
