Timothée Chalamet has bagged the Best Actor nomination at the upcoming Academy Awards for his performance in A Complete Unknown. With this feat, Chalamet also became the youngest multiple Best Actor nominee since James Dean, who was posthumously nominated for 1955’s period family drama East of Eden and 1956’s Giant. James Dean passed away in a car crash at the young age of 24. He was driving in his Porsche Spyder when the car got into a head-on collision on the California highway, leading to his untimely demise in 1955.

While Timothée Chalamet’s nomination for the upcoming Oscars has already garnered a lot of praise and appreciation from his fans and friends, his girlfriend Kylie Jenner also can’t help but “scream with excitement” over the actor’s recent milestone.

According to a Page Six report, Jenner wasn’t present with Chalamet when he learned about his second Best Actor nomination but she was duly watching the announcements and lost it when she saw her boyfriend’s name. “Jenner was screaming with excitement. She had a feeling that Chalamet was going to be nominated but actually seeing his name pop up on the TV screen was incredible. She is ecstatic and is so proud of him,” the source told the outlet.

Oscars Best Actor Nominations

On Thursday, Timothée Chalamet bagged a nominee in the Best Actor category for his latest release A Complete Unknown. He played the character of a young Bob Dylan in James Mangold’s musical biopic. Prior to this, Chalamet got his first-ever Oscar nomination for his 2018 drama Call Me By Your Name when he was just 22, making him the youngest person to be nominated at that time.

This year, the actor will be competing against the likes of Adrien Brody (The Brutalist), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Ralph Fiennes (Conclave), and Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice).
