At just 23 years old, Archita Dutta from Assam became the first female president of the North-East Students’ Organisation Jalandhar (NESOJ) in Punjab. With a smile and an air of confidence, Archita is not just leading a student body but creating a legacy of empowerment, unity, and cultural pride.
The roots of leadership
Archita is currently pursuing a Master of Pharmacy at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Lovely Professional University, Punjab. Her mother, a college professor, and her father, the founder and principal of a college, laid a strong foundation for her values. Growing up in a family dedicated to education and social work, Archita’s upbringing was rich with opportunities to explore her heritage. From dancing Sattriya Nritya and Bihu to performing in plays and bhaonas, her childhood was a mix of cultural experiences.
