The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe has unveiled an exciting lineup for the coming years, taking fan anticipation to new heights. The next installment in the franchise, Thama, stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in a bloody love story. A fresh update reveals that Ayushmann is kicking off 2025 by heading to Delhi to shoot the film’s second schedule.

On Saturday, Ayushmann Khurrana shared a sun-kissed selfie on Instagram Stories, where he sported a white t-shirt, a beige puffer jacket, sunglasses, and a face mask. Captioning it in Hindi, he wrote, “Chalo Dilli (heart hands emoji).”

The second schedule of Thama begins in Delhi early next week and will continue through mid-January. The team wrapped up a short schedule in Mumbai late last year, and the Delhi leg promises exciting new scenes.

Officially announced in October 2024, Thama’s reveal featured a gripping title video with an intense soundtrack. The tagline read, “Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Comedy Universe needed a love story… unfortunately, it’s a bloody one. Brace yourselves for #Thama – Diwali 2025!”

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar (Munjya), the film features a stellar cast including Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara, and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, Thama is slated for a grand Diwali 2025 release.

In addition to Thama, the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe has an array of films in development, including Shakti Shalini, Bhediya 2, Chamunda, Stree 3, Maha Munjya, Pehla Mahayudh, and Doosara Mahayudh.

On the professional front, Ayushmann Khurrana is gearing up for an untitled spy comedy produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, where he will share the screen with Sara Ali Khan under the direction of Aakash Kaushik. Additionally, he has been cast as the new Prem in Sooraj Barjatya’s highly anticipated family drama, as reported by Pinkvilla. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna recently delivered a stellar performance in the mega-blockbuster Pushpa 2, co-starring Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil.
