The 36-year-old music icon, who hasn’t released a full album since her critically acclaimed Anti in 2016, found herself the target of an Instagram comment after she shared a festive New Year’s video. The video featured Rihanna celebrating the start of 2025 with her friends, looking radiant as ever. But instead of simply enjoying the post, one user decided to poke the bear.
“We want an album forehead,” wrote an Instagram user, taking a jab at both her long-awaited music and her famous forehead. But Rihanna wasn’t about to let that slide. According to People, she swiftly fired back, “Listen Lorenzo (name of the Instagram user), You ain’t cute enough to be calling me by my black name you dizzy f***!” The sassy clapback quickly went viral, with fans applauding her no-nonsense attitude.
In the video, the singer proudly declared, “Y’all, I didn’t drink all year! I didn’t drink all year,” while adding the caption, “New Year, New Me.” Fans loved her candidness and humour, but it was her sharp response to the troll that stole the show.

“It’s not the right way to look at music because music is an outlet and a space to create, and you can create whatever. It doesn’t have to even be on any scale. It just has to be something that feels good. It could just be a song that I like. It literally could be that simple,” she explained.
