
A 13-year-old boy allegedly died by suicide in his house in Byadarahalli on Monday.
According to the police, the deceased, identified as Dhruva, a class VII student along with his sister returned home from school around 4 pm and played for some time before Dhruva allegedly ended his life. Noticing Dhruva struggling, his sister cried out for help. The parents who are employed in a garment factory had gone to work.
Meanwhile, their mother returned from work and heard the cries for help. She noticed Dhruva struggling to breathe and rushed him to a near-by hospital where he was declared ‘brought dead’.
The post-mortem report is awaited. The Byadarahalli police said that the exact reason for his extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
The parents told the police that there was no problem in the school but they had reprimanded Dhruva two days ago for using too much use of mobile phone. However, the police are probing further.
